Surrounded by the buzz of tens of thousands of bees, explore the inner workings of a colony, learn about the structure of a hive and bee yard, and experience firsthand how these remarkable pollinators keep our ecosystems thriving.You may even “pet” a bee!
Feel the gentle buzz of the colony around you; taste honey straight from the comb; and you might even be able to spot the queen! This one-hour experience is perfect for anyone with a love of nature, a curiosity about honeybees, and a desire to see bees in their natural habitat.
Suitable for all ages, the Bee Encounter offers a rare opportunity to witness the inner life of the hive up close. This experience is only offered during the beekeeping season (mid-May to early September).
In case of rain or poor weather, the event will be rescheduled to the next day (Sunday). Should poor weather persist until Sunday, a refund will be issued, with a $5.50 administrative fee deducted.
