Through a series of engaging challenges and activities, you’ll get a feel for the essential tasks that every beekeeper handles. From building a hive to learning how to safely work with bees, this experience is designed for anyone curious about the world of beekeeping—no prior experience needed!
Some challenges and activities may include:
Building and assembling a bee hive
Lighting a smoker and understanding its use
Working through a live hive to spot the queen
Searching for propolis or pollen
Labeling honey jars like a pro
Identifying the plants that bees love
By the end of the experience, you’ll have a better understanding of what it takes to keep bees, and you might just walk away with a newfound appreciation for these amazing creatures.

In case of rain or bad weather on your scheduled date, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday at the same time instead of Saturday. Should poor weather persist until Sunday, a refund will be issued, with an $8.70 administrative fee deducted.
