Yoga and the Bees

Join us for Yoga and the Bees! This 60 minute Gentle Hatha yoga class is a beautiful way to connect with yoga and nature.

Held outside, we will connect with our breath (yes, we will do the Bee Breath), move our bodies, and enjoy connecting with nature. Afterwards, savour a refreshing HONEY SODAin our beautiful retail store, stocked with our honey (which you can sample), local produce, and wonderful gifts. Take a stroll through our pollinator path and learn about pollinators. Sit with 30 of our 700 beehives, and listen to the constant hum from our honey bees. Studies have proven that the humming (vibrations) from the bees calms and soothes the body and mind.

What to Bring:

  • Yoga Mat
  • Optional: a yoga block and strap (or belt/tie)
  • Water
  • Sunscreen & Sunglasses

About the Instructor (Shanine Dennill):

Shanine has been practicing yoga since 1999 and teaching for over 15 years. She has completed two 200-hour yoga teacher training programs, a meditation teacher training program, and a 300-hour yoga training. Additionally, she has extensive training in Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra (inviting more rest into our lives). She is an E-RYT 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance (the highest credentials) and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (having trained many students to become yoga teachers). She also studied Folk Herbalism and is becoming an Ayurveda Health Advisor. Shanine owned a local yoga studio in Burlington for 10 years.
